Thoughts from inside my car

My neighbors must think I’m crazy.
And it’s not because I have a tendency to do strange things, that I sometimes question, in public.
It might look like I’m staking out my own house while sitting in my car that’s parked in the driveway.
I want to assure you that’s not the case.
It takes a lot to get me to sit in my car for any longer than I have to, but if Rod Stewart’s “You Wear it Well” (or any other song in my little black book of hits) starts playing on the radio, don’t expect that I’ll prematurely unlock my car door.
I sit and wait with my eyes closed, soaking in every note played and word sung.
I love that feeling of getting lost in a song and nothing, or no one, can interrupt that moment.
And yes. I like Rod Stewart and I’m still sitting in my car.
